Tisha b'Av Learning with Bonna Devora Haberman, Author and Women of the Wall Founder

Mayyim Hayyim invites you to come learn and be inspired by author and Women of the Wall founder Bonna Devora Haberman at a unique Tisha b’Av program. Dr. Haberman will share her influential vision and theology based on 24 years of sacred service at the remnant of the miqdash (sanctuary or sacred place, The Kotel). She will also reflect on her most recent book, “Israeli Feminism Liberating Judaism: Blood and Ink”. Applying provocative interpretations, she will engage participants in a discussion of the historical Temple commemorations’ relevance to our lives today. The program will give participants the opportunity to learn to chant some piyutim -- liturgical poetry or songs of longing.
